BookButler Search Tools

We're trying to make it as easy as possible to take BookButler wherever you go on the Web.

For those of you that want to get the most out of BookButler, we have provided a fully blown Firefox extension.
The Firefox extension allows you to get BookButler search results with one click from any webpage on the net. It's highly configurable, so you can fine tune your searches and preferences just like you can on the BookButler website.

For everyone else, we provide an OpenSearch plugin that most modern browsers can use to add the BookButler search engine to the browsers interface.
Using the OpenSearch plugin is less configurable than the Firefox extension, but has a wider scope for support.
We have tested the OpenSearch plugin in the following browsers:

Firefox Extension

New features are being added all the time to our Firefox extension, so be sure to keep yours up to date.

Quick Start

  1. Download and install the BookButler Firefox Extension
  2. Right click the BookButler icon in the bottom right of your browser and setup your preferences
  3. Select text on any webpage with your mouse and click the BookButler icon to open a search

Firefox will handle updates for you, the current version is 0.1

The BookButler Firefox extension also has the ability to work with CineButler

Quick Start

  1. Install the OpenSearch plugin using the button below
  2. Select the BookButler search engine in your search bar
  3. Type your search terms into the search bar and go

If ever there is a need to update our OpenSearch plugin, changes will be announced on this page, so you should check back often to make sure.
